Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fred Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcus Davis!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Perry is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Davis pulls his head out easily.

Davis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Perry is just riding it out for now. Davis eventually gives up the hold.
Perry is looking to get back to full guard here but Davis has managed to pass to side control instead.
Perry tries to buck Davis off but Davis is having none of it.
Perry is working hard here to advance position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Davis suckers Perry into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Davis is now in Perry's guard!
Perry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Marcus Davis dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Perry throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Perry is in Davis's guard.
Perry postures up in Davis's guard and throws a big left but Davis blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perry drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Davis dives on top into guard.

Davis controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Perry scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Perry gets caught flat footed, as Davis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Perry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Perry looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Davis has picked Perry up and slammed him! Perry can't keep hold of the triangle and Davis manages to pass to side control!

Davis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Perry gets back to half guard.
Well, if Davis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Davis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perry does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Perry throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Davis works his foot free and advances to mount.
Davis moves to take his opponent's back.

Davis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Perry defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Davis is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Perry is defending well though. Davis let's go of the attempt for now.

Marcus Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Perry is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Davis wants to free his trapped foot but Perry is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Davis has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Perry to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Davis is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Perry pulls down on the head and he's put Davis to sleep! This one is all over!
