The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faraday looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wehmer is fending him off so far but Faraday persists. Nope, Wehmer circles away and we're back to standing.
Faraday thows a leg kick but Wehmer checks it
and Wehmer counters with a single leg into guard. Faraday didn't expect that.
Wehmer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Faraday had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wehmer defends it easily.
Faraday has his foot on Wehmer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wehmer works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wehmer tries to free his leg and advance position but Faraday is retaining full guard.
We've been hearing that Wehmer has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Faraday looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wehmer is defending well. Faraday quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wehmer has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Faraday celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
