Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Estefan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Der Debil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by Foo Fighters- My Hero. Debil has chosen Bulimic as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Estefan Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Der Debil! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Debil. Debil tries to land a leg kick but Sanchez saw it coming and moves away.
Sanchez feints a jab promting Debil to slip. Sanchez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Debil slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Der Debil has been cut. Debil's coach down at Kraken BJJ was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Debil's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Sanchez blocks a low kick nicely. Debil misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanchez throws a big counter combination but Debil scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Sanchez misses with a two punch combination.
Debil feints the counter takedown. Sanchez clinches. Sanchez lands with a short shot to the head. A short left from Sanchez. With the fighters up against the cage, Sanchez throws an elbow but misses. Sanchez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sanchez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jab by Sanchez. Sanchez keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Sanchez scores with a four punch combination! Debil closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Debil lands in his opponent's guard. Sanchez seems keen to control Debil's posture. Debil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Debil controlling him for the moment. Sanchez has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Debil is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Sanchez stops a takedown attempt from Debil.
Sanchez gets control of Debil's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sanchez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Debil postures up and lands a big shot to Sanchez's brow. Sanchez is pulling down on Debil's head to control his posture. Debil missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. A shot in the inside from Sanchez. Sanchez tries to land a knee to the head but Debil blocks with his arms.
Debil jumps guard but Sanchez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Estefan Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Der Debil. Sanchez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Debil shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sanchez defends it nicely. Debil throws a nice outside leg kick. Sanchez closes the distance and lands a one-two. Debil shoots in and drives through. Sanchez sprawls well. Debil cracks the inside of Sanchez's front leg. Sanchez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Debil changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sanchez fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Debil is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sanchez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Debil has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sanchez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sanchez lands a body shot. Debil goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sanchez prevents it.
Debil looks winded! Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sanchez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Sanchez smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That has opened up Der Debil's cut even more. Sanchez throws a head kick that half lands.

Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Debil moves out of range easily. Good exchange - Sanchez coming out on top. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Some bone on bone action there as Sanchez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Sanchez throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Debil throws a leg kick that misses. Debil throws a leg kick but Sanchez sees it coming and checks it nicely. Debil dodges the punch combination from Sanchez.

Debil shoots in and drives through. Sanchez sprawls well. A left and a right from Sanchez both land. Nice combination.
The cut above Der Debil's eye is starting to cause him problems now. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Estefan Sanchez dominated that round. The cut man is working on Der Debil's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Debil walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sanchez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Sanchez misses with a few strikes there.

Sloppy strikes from Sanchez. Those never looked like landing. Sanchez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Debil. Debil misses with a leg kick and Sanchez counters with a left and a right that stings Debil. Sanchez throws a series of punches but Debil moves out of range. Debil lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A nice combination there by Sanchez.
Der Debil's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanchez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Debil is fighting it off but Sanchez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Debil's guard against the cage. Debil looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Debil is breathing heavily. Sanchez is looking to work some ground and pound but Debil has wrist control. Sanchez cracks Debil with a solid left hand. Debil utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sanchez working some strikes from top position. Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Sanchez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Debil escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanchez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sanchez is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Debil has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. Debil working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sanchez landing some decent shots from guard.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Der Debil's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Estefan Sanchez! A very excited looking Estefan Sanchez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. Der Debil spoke after the fight, saying 'i did what i can, i have lost this fight but i will learn more and be a better fighter in the future!'.
