Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saleem Al Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Khan has chosen Three Days Grace - Scared as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saleem Al Khan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.
A little feinted left hand from Jackson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Al Khan has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jackson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Al Khan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
Al Khan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Al Khan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jackson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.
Joseph Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saleem Al Khan.

Al Khan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jackson to the ground. Al Khan is now in Jackson's guard.

Jackson wants to stand but Al Khan is controlling the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Al Khan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Al Khan prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Al Khan throwing strikes from guard but Jackson blocks nicely.

Al Khan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jackson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Al Khan's guard! Nice work there by Jackson!

Jackson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Al Khan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jackson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Al Khan pulls down on the head and he's put Jackson to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Saleem Al Khan!
Post fight, an emotional Saleem Al Khan said 'I am the freedom fighter, I'll fight for my people until death, and represent my land everywhere I go, look out for me!'.
