Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diamond Dollar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byron Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Diamond Dollar has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Diamond Dollar seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diamond Dollar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Byron Malik! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malik shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Malik content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Malik connects with a nice short shot to Dollar's temple. Dollar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Malik is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dollar has managed to free his arm - good work. Dollar slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dollar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malik is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dollar pulls his head out easily. Malik won't allow Dollar to pass to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malik is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dollar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dollar's back! Dollar trying to control the hands but Malik breaks the grip. Malik doesn't have the hooks in and Dollar manages to turn into his guard.
Malik working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dollar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dollar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dollar throws a big right hand that misses. Dollar wants to control from the top but Malik keeps moving. Dollar scoring with punches to the head and body. Malik managing to control the position. Malik looking to control.
Malik can't keep his opponent in guard - Dollar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Dollar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dollar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Dollar trying to control the action but Malik is working from the bottom. Malik has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dollar is working away from the top position though. Dollar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dollar with shots to the head and body - Malik looks very uncomfortable down there.
It looks like Byron Malik has been cut. Malik is desperately trying to improve his position but Dollar has a good base and remains in mount. Dollar with the ground and pound from mount.
Malik is rocked! Malik is working to get back to half guard.
Malik is still in real trouble! Can Dollar finish him? Dollar looking to control but Malik is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Malik seems to have recovered his senses. Dollar connects with a bit shot that sees Malik covering up! More strikes from Dollar and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Dollar is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diamond Dollar! During a confident post fight interview, Diamond Dollar thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
