Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Neo Wiggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asa Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neo Wiggin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 2, fighting out of New York, Asa Sharp!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sharp feints and as Wiggin raises his hands in defense, Sharp changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wiggin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sharp will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wiggin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sharp regains half guard.
Wiggin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sharp with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sharp manages to get to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sharp is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Wiggin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Neo Wiggin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sharp takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wiggin gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Sharp counters with a left and a right that stings Wiggin.
Sharp avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wiggin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wiggin stuffs the takedown attempt from Sharp. Sharp gets slowly back to his feet.
Wiggin thuds a left hand into Sharp's body.
Wiggin throws a series of punches but Sharp avoids them all with ease.
Sharp uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wiggin.
Sharp shoots in for a takedown but Wiggin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sharp shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wiggin pinned against the cage. Wiggin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sharp lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sharp is defended easily by Wiggin.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wiggin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wiggin wants it to stay on the feet.

Wiggin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wiggin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sharps jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sharp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wiggin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
