Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bread Panterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Gael Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panterson comes to the cage accompanied by Darling. Dante Gael Roman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bread Panterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dante Gael Roman!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Panterson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Panterson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Panterson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Roman is on top in guard.

Panterson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Roman defends it easily.

Panterson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Roman postures up in Panterson's guard and throws a big left but Panterson blocks it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Roman jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Panterson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Panterson and Roman has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Panterson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Roman is just content to waste time from the top position. Panterson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Roman throws a strike but Panterson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Roman has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Panterson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Panterson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Panterson is trying to trip Roman. He has hold of a leg but Roman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Panterson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Panterson stands and throws Roman's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Panterson wants to control but Roman is keeping him busy.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Bread Panterson will probably get the nod.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Panterson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Roman defends it well.

Bread Panterson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Roman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Panterson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Roman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Roman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Panterson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Roman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Dante Gael Roman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Panterson throws a combination that misses
and Roman counters with a nice uppercut.
Roman throws the left hand but Panterson avoids the punch easily.
Bread Panterson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Roman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Panterson.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Panterson. Roman does a little dance to reset his feet.

Panterson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Roman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Panterson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Roman clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Panterson is looking for a rear naked choke here but Roman reverses the position brilliantly into Panterson's guard!
Roman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Let's hope that Roman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Roman lands a really nice looking cross but Panterson seems unphased.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Panterson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Panterson showed some decent athleticism there.
Panterson is stalling here. Roman is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Panterson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Roman has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

I would just about give that final round to Dante Gael Roman.
