The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Markberg.
Dangle throws an off balance right hand
and Markberg counters with a straight right hand.

Dangle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Markberg is leaning against Dangle and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Dangle is breathing heavily.

Markberg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dangle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Markberg comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Markberg scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Markberg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dangle, pushing him back against the cage.

Dangle throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Markberg is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Markberg is pushing Dangle up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Markberg avoids a wild elbow strike from Dangle.
The referee is keeping an eye on Markberg - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Wally Markberg.
Dangle misses with a low kick.
Markberg scores with a jab. Dangle acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like Jim Dangle has been cut.

Dangle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Markberg paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Markberg punishes Dangle's body with a nice straight punch.
Markberg closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Dangle! Markberg dives in looking to finish! Dangle is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
