Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Konstantin Saraste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mica Makaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Konstantin Saraste!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saraste tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Makaaja counters with a single leg into guard. Saraste didn't expect that.
Saraste tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Makaaja wants to control from the top but Saraste keeps moving.
Makaaja postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Saraste is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Makaaja, into his guard.

You can see the frustration on Saraste's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That was a close round but I would say that Konstantin Saraste will probably get the nod.

Saraste will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Makaaja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Saraste keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Makaaja's head.
Saraste got a little sloppy there for a moment and Makaaja has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saraste has managed to get both his arms back between Makaaja's legs - danger averted.
Makaaja is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Saraste frees his head nicely. Oh but Makaaja has switched to an armbar! Saraste is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
