Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diagoro Yabaisama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yabaisama comes to the cage accompanied by Liquid Swords. Melo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fireball - Pitbull. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Diagoro Yabaisama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Renan Melo! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Melo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Melo throws a leg kick and Yabaisama counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Melo avoids the head kick by Yabaisama.
Yabaisama fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Yabaisama scores with a body shot.
Melo misses with a low kick as Yabaisama jumps back. A punch combination from Melo misses. Melo dips to his left and cracks Yabaisama with an uppercut! Yabaisama takes a swing at Melo's ribcage but misses. Yabaisama scores with a hook. Yabaisama thumps Melo with a low kick. Yabaisama has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Dr Hatsumi's Clinic in the buildup to the fight. Yabaisama uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Melo. We've been informed that Melo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Yabaisama misses with an attempted mid kick.
Yabaisama paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Melo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Melo now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Yabaisama digs a good hook to Melo's body.
Melo lands with a nice body punch. Melo doesn't manage to clinch there - Yabaisama circles away.

Yabaisama tries to bum rush Melo with a series of wild strikes but Melo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Renan Melo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Melo misses with a wild body shot. Yabaisama throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Melo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yabaisama moves away. Yabaisama checks a low kick from Melo. Yabaisama swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Yabaisama scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Good work by Yabaisama as he checks the leg kick. Melo misses with a straight right. Yabaisama swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Yabaisama misses with a body punch
and Melo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Melo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Yabaisama looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yabaisama is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Melo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yabaisama pulls his head out easily. Yabaisama prevents Melo from improving his position. Yabaisama is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Melo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yabaisama. Melo trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Melo is looking for a sweep. Yabaisama is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Melo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Yabaisama is looking to take a break and control but Melo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Melo wants to improve his position but Yabaisama is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Melo works his way to full guard. Good work. Melo working for a triangle but Yabaisama defends it easily.
Melo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yabaisama defends it easily. Yabaisama is looking to pass into half guard but Melo pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Melo is in guard. Melo trying to control the position from guard on top but Yabaisama is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Melo passes into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Diagoro Yabaisama will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Yabaisama lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A nice inside leg kick there by Yabaisama. That's going to slow Melo down. Diagoro Yabaisama is winning the standup battle so far. Melo closes the distance looking to clinch and Yabaisama counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Melo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yabaisama sees it coming and avoids it easily. Melo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Melo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

And Yabaisama counters with a quick kick to the body but Melo blocks it. Melo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Yabaisama. Melo shrugs it off though. Yabaisama checks a leg kick. Melo looks to score with a jab to the body but Yabaisama is just out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yabaisama takes a body punch but keeps moving. Melo walks into a straight right hand from Yabaisama.
That's one minute gone in the round. Melo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Yabaisama is trying to force a seperation but Melo has the dominant position. Yabaisama missing with knees to the body.
Nice body punch from Yabaisama. Melo can't find room to land a body shot as Yabaisama controls the action.
Melo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Melo tries to free his leg and advance position but Yabaisama is retaining full guard. Melo passes Yabaisama's left leg - he's now in half guard. Melo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Yabaisama is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
