Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arlington Beech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Correa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beech's entrance music is You Know My Name. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Arlington Beech! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Correa! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Correa is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Correa throws a right and a left that both miss. Beech throwing a counter right hand but Correa manages to avoid it. Correa swings widly with a right hand
and Beech cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Correa just misses with a punch to the body.
Beech throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Correa misses with a looping left. Beech has been working on his boxing with his coaches at GWad's Playpen in the buildup to the fight. Correa looks to score with a jab to the body but Beech is just out of range. A slow jab from Beech misses its intended target. Correa throws a good cross that connects.

Correa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Beech. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Beech is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Correa. Beech slips under a jab from Correa. Correa swings away with a body shot that misses
and Beech counters with a lovely straight right hand! Correa swings for the body but Beech moves out of range.
Beech is looking for a counter combo. Correa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beech uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Correa. Correa misses with a body shot.
Beech lands a big right hand that sends Correa crashing to the mat! Beech stays standing though and waves Correa back to his feet!
Correa is rocked! Beech fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Correa is still on wobbly legs! Can Beech finish him? Correa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beech but Beech pushes him off and we're back to square one. Correa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Correa seems to have recovered his senses. Correa cracks Beech with an open hand slap. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beech connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Correa misses with a body shot.
Correa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Beech looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Correa scores with a shot to the body.
Correa is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Beech rather than just go for the knockout. Beech lands with a shot to the body. Correa looks to land a right hand but Beech moved out of range.

Correa misses with an uppercut. Beech was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Correa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It appears Beech was looking to counter with a kick there. Correa shoots in for a double leg but Beech sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Correa's coach down at MM eh Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Correa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Arlington Beech is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A decent looking body kick lands there for Beech. Beech misses with a body kick. Beech bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Beech lands with an overhand left. Correa throws a left and a right that both miss
and Beech counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Beech scores with a kick to the midsection. Beech finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Correa throws the left hand but Beech avoids the punch easily. Beech throws out a powerful jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Correa misses. Correa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beech pinned against the cage. Beech gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Arlington Beech has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Correa. Correa ducks right into an uppercut from Beech. Correa tests Beech's chin there with a solid looking shot. Correa throws a series of punches but Beech moves out of range. A little feinted left hand from Beech on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Correa looks to land a right hand but Beech moved out of range. A quick step to the side and Beech tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Correa lands with a straight right. Beech didn't see that one coming. Correa moves out of range of the leg kick from Beech. Beech waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Correa. Correa ducks under a wild hook from Beech.

Jose Correa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Correa misses the shot to the body. Beech displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Correa throws out the jab. Beech throws a counter high kick but Correa was just alert enough to avoid it. Correa pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Correa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beech moves away. Beech on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Beech throws an overhand right that lands on Correa's shoulder, as Correa tries to avoid the shot. Correa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Beech ducks under a wild hook from Correa. Beech thinks about countering with a body kick. Beech misses with an attempted mid kick.
Correa swings for the body but Beech moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Correa lands a jab to the nose. Correa scores with a jab to the jaw. Correa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beech manages to avoid it. Beech slips a straight right by Correa. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Arlington Beech will probably get the nod. That's time! Beech's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Correa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Beech uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Correa. Beech tries to move into range but Correa moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Correa's corner calls for a 1-2. Correa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Beech lands with an overhand left. Correa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beech manages to avoid it. Beech throws a jab but it's blocked by Correa. Correa lands a lovely overhand right. Correa throws a poor cross that misses
and Beech counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A punch lands to the side of Beech 's head but he takes it in his stride. Correa takes a swing at Beech's ribcage but misses. Beech jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Beech takes a swing at Correa's ribcage but misses. A shot to the liver by Correa. Beautiful body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Horrible takedown attempt by Correa or perhaps it was just good defense by Beech, which made it look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Correa looks to land a right hand but Beech moved out of range. Correa drops his hands momentarily and Beech takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Beech smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Correa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Beech looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Correa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Correa gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
