Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by The Field - The More That I Do. The crowd seem to be enjoying Clark's choice of entrance music: Silversun Pickups - Comeback Kid. Josh Clark has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Clark! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller misses with a low kick.
Clark looks to throw the jab but Miller is out of range. Miller tries a head kick but it misses.

Miller lands with a kick to the temple. Clark shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Miller scores with a leg kick.
Clark will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Clark looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Clark wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Miller wants to sweep here but Clark controlling him for the moment. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Clark trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Miller has a closed guard, preventing Clark from standing up. Clark tries to free his leg and advance position but Miller is retaining full guard. Clark is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Miller throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Clark takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Clark looks gassed! Miller moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Miller turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Miller lands a high kick!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miller working the body and head with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clark is letting Miller control him for a moment. Miller works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Miller in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Clark manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Clark thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Miller's head. Clark prevents Miller from improving his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller wants to control but Clark is keeping busy and won't allow it. Miller is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Josh Clark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process.
