Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sasha Novavich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leroy Brown! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Novavich shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Novavich shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Novavich was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Brown is trying desperately to improve position. Novavich dominating with strikes here. Brown working to try and regain half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Novavich cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Brown is in all sorts of trouble here.

It looks like Leroy Brown has been cut. Brown is bucking up trying to escape but Novavich cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Brown is looking to get to half guard. Novavich lands with some strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brown is trying to reverse the position but instead Novavich has taken his back - oops! Novavich controlling well, preventing Brown from escaping the position.

Brown is covering up but some of the strikes from Novavich are getting through and doing damage.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Novavich lands a nice short elbow. Novavich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Novavich prevents Brown from improving his position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Novavich is thwarting Brown's attempts to control the position. Novavich has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Brown defend it? Novavich steps over the head and cranks it - Brown is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Novavich!
