Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Random Fighter Three (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Faup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Random Fighter Three!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Faup!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faup tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fighter Three manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Faup keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Faup doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

A little feinted left hand from Fighter Three on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Faup wants to clinch up but Fighter Three keeps it at a distance.
Fighter Three seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Faup wants to clinch.
Fighter Three changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Faup tries to clinch but Fighter Three moves out of range.
Faup has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Faup clinches up with Fighter Three and pushes him back against the cage.
Fighter Three tries to score a body lock takedown but Faup shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Faup swings wildly with an uppercut but Fighter Three uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter Three blocks an elbow strike.
Faup with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Faup is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Fighter Three is defending well for now.

Fighter Three is trying to trip Faup. He has hold of a leg but Faup is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fighter Three persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Faup trying to keep a closed guard but Fighter Three is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fighter Three stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Faup swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Faup strikes from his own guard.
Fighter Three keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Faup's head.
Fighter Three is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Faup utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Fighter Three connects with a couple of short punches.
Faup wants to sweep here but Fighter Three controlling him for the moment.
Fighter Three might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Faup is trying to keep Fighter Three in close.
Fighter Three landing with the ground and pound.
Faup is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Faup not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fighter Three has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fighter Three trying to control the position from guard on top but Faup is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fighter Three working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Faup's head.
Faup is trying to keep Fighter Three in close.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fighter Three with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Fighter Three stopping the sweep attempt from Faup.
Faup looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Faup working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fighter Three doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fighter Three manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fighter Three lands a couple of digs.
Fighter Three landing some decent shots from guard.
Fighter Three loads up on a big left hand. Faup felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Fighter Three looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Faup can't hide his disappointment, as Fighter Three celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Random Fighter Three!
Random Fighter Three retains his heavyweight title!
