Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Montuffar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alfred Barker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Montuffar! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montuffar swinging wildly here.
Montuffar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Barker pushes Montuffar up against the cage in a clinch. Montuffar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Montuffar throws a head kick that misses. Barker goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Montuffar moves into the clinch. Barker letting Montuffar take a breather here. Montuffar blocks an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montuffar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barker fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Montuffar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Montuffar wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving. Barker looking for a guillotine here but Montuffar defends easily.
Montuffar tries to free his leg and advance position but Barker is retaining full guard. Barker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Montuffar content to stall in guard here. Barker trying to keep a closed guard but Montuffar is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Montuffar trying to control but Barker is working from the bottom. Montuffar wanted to stand there but Barker had control of the position. Montuffar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Montuffar stopping the sweep attempt from Barker. Montuffar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Montuffar trying to control but Barker is working from the bottom. Montuffar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Montuffar throws a big elbow that misses. Barker keeping moving, preventing Montuffar from controlling successfully. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Barker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Barker takes a swing at Montuffar's ribcage but misses. The fight moves into the clinch position. Montuffar lands a knee to the body.
Barker is looking for a takedown. Barker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Montuffar after a bit of a struggle. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Barker. Barker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Montuffar darts in and clinches Barker up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montuffar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Barker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Montuffar lands with a light punch inside. Montuffar tries to pull guard but Barker holds him up against the cage and eventually Montuffar drops back down to his feet.
Alfred Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Montuffar. Montuffar manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Barker tries to pull guard but Montuffar forces him back to his feet, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Montuffar dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Barker instigates a clinch. Montuffar scores with a hook to the body. Barker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Montuffar drives through and clinches with Barker against the cage.
Barker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Barker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Montuffar is defended easily by Barker. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montuffar goes for a double leg but Barker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barker continues to drive forward. Barker drives through and clinches with Montuffar against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Barker rushes Montuffar and presses him up against the cage. Knees to the body from Barker.

Montuffar fails with the takedown. Alfred Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Montuffar. Barker rushes Montuffar and presses him up against the cage. Montuffar has hold of one of Barker's legs. Barker is fighting the takedown attempt but Montuffar gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Barker has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Montuffar has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montuffar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barker to the mat! Barker manages to get full guard. Barker wriggles free and stands up. Montuffar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Barker manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Montuffar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barker scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Montuffar misses with a takedown and Barker counters with a left and a right that stings Montuffar. Montuffar is breathing heavily. Barker has Montuffar up against the cage in a clinch.
Montuffar is working for takedown but Barker is calmly controlling the position for now. A head punch on the inside from Barker fails to land. Montuffar blocks an uppercut.

Montuffar has a takedown stuffed. Montuffar gets in close and instigates a clinch. Barker has a couple of punches blocked by Montuffar.
Barker is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A head punch on the inside from Barker fails to land. Montuffar jumps guard but Barker stands there with Montuffar around his waist. Montuffar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Montuffar gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Barker regains guard.
Barker is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Montuffar presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown attempt by Montuffar or perhaps it was just good defense by Barker, which made it look bad. Alfred Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Montuffar. A lazy body kick from Barker and Montuffar counters with a right hand to the body. Barker drives through and clinches with Montuffar against the cage.
Barker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Montuffar pulls him back up using the underhooks. Montuffar jumps guard and drags Barker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Montuffar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Montuffar wants to control the position but Barker says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Barker working Montuffar over with strikes. Barker prevents Montuffar from improving his position. Montuffar actively working from the bottom here. Barker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barker seems to be working for a kimura but Montuffar defends the submission attempt. Barker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Barker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Montuffar regains full guard. Nicely done. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Alfred Barker showed his dominance in that final round. Well Barker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
