17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Proctor! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Proctor scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Proctor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harlamov manages to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Harlamov. Proctor thinks about the counter body kick. Harlamov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Proctor. Proctor pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Harlamov takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Garik Harlamov has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Proctor throws an overhand right that lands on Harlamov's shoulder, as Harlamov tries to avoid the shot. Harlamov feinted with a counter takedown. Proctor cracks Harlamov with an open hand slap.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Harlamov. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Harlamov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Harlamov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Proctor defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garik Harlamov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Harlamov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Proctor defends well and Harlamov ends up having to push Proctor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A swing and a miss from Proctor.

and Harlamov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Proctor's guard. Harlamov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Harlamov is looking to work some ground and pound but Proctor has wrist control. Harlamov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Proctor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Harlamov. Harlamov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Harlamov throwing strikes from guard but Proctor blocks nicely. Proctor preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Harlamov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Harlamov throwing strikes but missing. Harlamov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Harlamov throwing strikes from guard but Proctor blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Proctor looking for a sweep. Not yet Proctor, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harlamov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Proctor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Proctor trying to control the position here. Proctor looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Harlamov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Proctor is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harlamov is controlling him. Harlamov throwing strikes but missing. Proctor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Harlamov throws a strike but Proctor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harlamov has a closed guard, preventing Proctor from standing up. Harlamov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Proctor defends well. Proctor got a little sloppy there for a moment and Harlamov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Proctor has managed to get both his arms back between Harlamov's legs - danger averted. Proctor trying to stand up but can't free himself from Harlamov's guard. Harlamov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Proctor defends it easily. Proctor stands and steps away. Harlamov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Harlamov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Proctor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Garik Harlamov's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Harlamov slips under a jab from Proctor. Proctor walks into a jab. Proctor throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Harlamov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Proctor's guard. Proctor has Harlamov pulled in close to control his posture. Proctor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Harlamov throws a strike but Proctor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Harlamov is working an open guard so Proctor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Proctor throws a head kick but Harlamov moves out of range.
Michael Proctor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A decent looking cross lands there for Proctor. Proctor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Proctor wants it to stay on the feet. Proctor throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Proctor listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Michael Proctor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Harlamov moves out of range as Proctor strikes. Proctor feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Harlamov sprawling to the canvas! Harlamov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Proctor finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Proctor misses the jab. Proctor steps in with a hook that catches Harlamov right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Proctor follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Harlamov looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Proctor! A relieved looking Michael Proctor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
