Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bartholomew Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Vladimirovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roach comes to the cage accompanied by The Simpsons Theme Song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bartholomew Roach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Vladimirovich!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach misses with a looping right.
Roach sets himself, and Vladimirovich steps forward looking for the clinch! Roach avoids it this time.
Roach has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Roach misses the jab.
Vladimirovich jabs Roach right on the nose. Roach blinks but takes it well.
Roach connects with the punch.


It looks like Vladimir Vladimirovich has been cut.
Vladimirovich takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Vladimirovich throws a series of punches but Roach avoids them all with ease.
Vladimirovich avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Vladimirovich misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Roach.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jab, jab by Roach - just one landing.
Roach lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Vladimirovich steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Roach. That one must have hurt.
Vladimirovich slips under a jab from Roach.
And Vladimirovich tries to counter it with a takedown but Roach pushes his down on his head and steps out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vladimirovich throws a hook but Roach blocks it.
Roach connects with a solid leg kick.
Vladimirovich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roach tries to avoid it but Vladimirovich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roach to the ground. Roach escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vladimirovich looks to land a left hand but Roach moved out of range nicely.
Roach quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Vladimirovich goes for a double leg but Roach avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Roach continues to drive forward.
Vladimirovich chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Roach can pounce on him.
Roach misses the jab.
Vladimirovich with the counter takedown but Roach avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Roach throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Roach gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Vladimirovich counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Vladimirovich cracks Roach with a solid left hand.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Vladimirovich working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Roach is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Roach avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Vladimirovich throwing strikes but missing.
Roach working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vladimirovich.
Vladimirovich wants to control from the top but Roach keeps moving.
Roach controls Vladimirovich momentarily but Vladimirovich frees himself.
Roach avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Vladimirovich throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Vladimirovich trying to control the position from guard on top but Roach is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roach working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vladimirovich.
Vladimirovich landing some decent shots from guard.
Roach keeping full guard, as Vladimirovich tries to pass.

Vladimirovich drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Roach manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vladimirovich has Roach in his guard.

Vladimirovich not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vladimirovich can't keep his opponent in guard - Roach advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Roach is trying to control the action in half guard but Vladimirovich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roach with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Vladimirovich is looking to improve his position.
Roach throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bartholomew Roach dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Vladimir Vladimirovich's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Roach scores with a push kick.
Roach takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Vladimirovich misses with a straight right.
Roach connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vladimirovich. Vladimirovich circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Roach lands with a right hand.
Vladimirovich walks into a straight right hand from Roach.


That has opened up Vladimir Vladimirovich's cut even more.
Vladimirovich bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bartholomew Roach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vladimirovich keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Roach.
Roach scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


Vladimirovich is rocked!
Vladimirovich leaves his chin hanging out and Roach seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Vladimirovich crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bartholomew Roach!
