Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joao Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hale Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araujo's entrance music is This time its war. A fine choice. Joao Araujo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hale Storm's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joao Araujo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hale Storm! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm throws a sloppy head kick and Araujo counters with a single leg into guard. Storm didn't expect that. Araujo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Storm is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Araujo, into his guard. Storm scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Storm wants to control from the top but Araujo keeps moving. Storm gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Storm throws a sloppy head kick and Araujo moves out of range easily. Storm throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Hale Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Storm misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Storm. It looked like Araujo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Storm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. It looked like Araujo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Storm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm scores with a push kick. Araujo avoids the head kick by Storm.
Araujo appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Araujo fails to land with a series of punches.
We've been informed that Storm has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Storm on the wrong end of a nice hook.
It looks like Hale Storm has been cut. A head kick misses from Storm. Hale Storm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Storm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Storm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A counter left hand to the body from Araujo misses its target. Storm delivers a nice body kick. Araujo lands with a cross. Storm takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Storm is rocked! A head kick from Storm lands but Araujo takes it in his stride. Storm is still on wobbly legs! Can Araujo finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Araujo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Storm seems to have recovered his senses. Araujo takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Storm misses and Araujo counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Storm tries to roll over but Araujo keeps him under control. Storm tries to kick Araujo off but Araujo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Araujo is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Araujo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Storm sees it coming and defends easily. Storm is refusing to be controlled, as Araujo sits in half guard. Araujo is looking for a kimura but Storm is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Araujo to get the leverage. Storm is defending against the submission attempts here by Araujo.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Araujo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Araujo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Storm is just riding it out for now. Araujo eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joao Araujo will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Hale Storm's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A slow jab from Araujo misses its intended target. Storm throws a head kick that misses and Araujo counters with a shoot takedown. Storm fights it but they end up in guard. Araujo looking to pass the guard. Araujo works a leg free and moves into half guard. Storm is looking to escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, if Araujo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
