Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Giresse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhys Crowder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Crowder's choice of entrance music: "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. Maurice Giresse has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rhys Crowder! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crowder misses with a straight left. Rhys Crowder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Giresse lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Crowder comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A jab from Crowder finds it's way through Giresse's defenses. Crowder just misses with a punch to the body.
Giresse throws a looping overhand right but Crowder ducks down to avoid it. Crowder misses with a looping left. Nice shot by Crowder. Crowder throws a body shot but no joy. Crowder digs a good hook to Giresse's body.

Giresse throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Crowder connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Giresse momentarily.
Crowder takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Crowder thuds his right hand into Giresse's forehead from close range. and Giresse takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Crowder defending well as Giresse loads up on a big left hand. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Crowder! But no joy. Giresse takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Giresse swings and misses with a shot to the body and Crowder connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Giresse is rocked! Crowder is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Giresse had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Crowder thuds a left hand into Giresse's body. Giresse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crowder moves away. Crowder fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A big left from Giresse misses. Giresse's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Giresse duly obliges. Crowder lands with a good body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Giresse throws a leg kick that is checked and Crowder counters with a stiff right hand. Crowder scores with a jab. Oh Giresse is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crowder drops Giresse with a naaaaasty hook - Giresse is in real trouble here! Crowder dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
