The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durand punishes McTaggart's body with a nice straight punch. Durand is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McTaggart. McTaggart has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tayne's 4d3d3d3 Gym in the buildup to the fight. McTaggart gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. McTaggart tries to work over Durand's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Durand's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Durand takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
McTaggart uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Durand. A jab from Durand finds it's way through McTaggart's defenses. Durand looks low and kicks high, catching McTaggart right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it! This has been an exciting period of action! McTaggart throws a low kick, looking for Durand's leg but Durand calmly moves out of range. Durand fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Durand gets in close and instigates a clinch. Durand avoiding damage as McTaggart throws knees to the body.

McTaggart is rocked! Durand is holding McTaggart round the back of the neck and unloading with elbows! Boom, boom, boom! 3 big elbows land right to the bridge of the nose and McTaggart goes down! Oh, his nose is a mess! I'm not sure he's going to beat the count... 4,5,6,7,8,9,10. He's done! Durand takes it and McTaggart is going to the hospital to get that nose checked out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Elbows). Jacques Durand! Jacques Durand spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. Osama Bin McTaggart spoke after the fight, saying 'I think i saw the ghost of michael jackson. He was reading a book and eating fruit!'.
