Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anders Funk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lefteris Samaras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Anders Funk has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Anders Funk seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Samaras.
Funk seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Funk takes a swing at Samaras's ribcage but misses.
Samaras throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Funk takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Samaras throws the left hand but Funk avoids the punch easily.
Samaras blocks a jab.
Samaras takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Funk lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Funk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Samaras.

Samaras tries to score a power double leg takedown but Funk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Samaras somewhat.

Funk doesn't manage to clinch there - Samaras circles away.
Funk throws a shot from downtown. Samaras moves away and avoids it.

Both fighters circling a little - Funk finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Samaras appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Funk throws out a leg kick but Samaras moves out of range and Funk only half commits.

Funk jabs Samaras to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Samaras's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Funk connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Samaras scrambles back to his feet.

Funk throws a leg kick which misses Samaras's front leg but catches the back leg as Samaras tries to avoid it.
Funk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Samaras throws a looping overhand right but Funk ducks down to avoid it.
Funk slips under a jab.
Samaras fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Funk has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Funk lands a high kick!
Samaras is rocked!
Are you kidding me?! Funk ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Samaras clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anders Funk!
A relieved looking Anders Funk thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
