Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Pollux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katt Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pollux comes into the arena with Oh, Hello Ghost by Rolo Tomassi blaring out of the sound system. Katt Johnson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a jab when Pollux was well out of range.
Johnson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pollux uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson.
Pollux uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Johnson.
Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Pollux darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pollux wants to work for an arm triangle but Johnson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pollux. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pollux is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Pollux tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pollux has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pollux is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Pollux lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Johnson down.

Johnson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pollux cranks the arm and Johnson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Johnson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
