Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clair Haley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Aldo looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clair Haley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Aldo! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haley dives in for a single leg takedown but Aldo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Aldo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Haley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aldo sprawls well initially but Haley persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Aldo wants to stand back up but Haley manages to pass into side control.
Haley decides to take the fight back to the feet. Aldo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Haley's guard. Haley wants to sweep but no luck. Haley lands some strikes from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Haley wants to stand but Aldo is controlling the position. Haley doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Aldo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Haley throws a couple of heel strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aldo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aldo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Haley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Aldo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Haley can't break the clinch.
Aldo gets control of Haley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Aldo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Haley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Aldo trying to control the position.
Haley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Haley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haley moves into the clinch. Haley gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Aldo regains guard.
Aldo is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Haley dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Haley taking a breather here. You can see the frustration on Aldo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Aldo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haley stands up and we're back to a striking position. Aldo gets tackled into the cage by Haley. Haley maintains the clinch. Haley is looking for a takedown. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Haley has Aldo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Aldo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clair Haley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Aldo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Aldo manages to pull guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Aldo working for submissions but it's allowed Haley to get to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Haley lands a nice short elbow. Aldo is looking to control Haley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aldo avoid being mounted? Haley is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clair Haley dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Haley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Aldo to the ground. Haley is now in Aldo's guard. Aldo is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Haley dives into side control.
Haley stands up and beckons Aldo to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aldo was covering up waiting for the punch and Haley finishes the takedown easily into guard. Aldo has a closed guard, preventing Haley from standing up. Aldo is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haley stays in close to Aldo's body and controls the position. Haley is working Aldo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Haley working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Haley controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Haley's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Haley gets to his feet - Aldo follows without any prompting. Aldo blocks a head kick by Haley.
Clair Haley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Haley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aldo circles away. Aldo steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Haley. Haley moves into the clinch successfully.
Haley wants a takedown.
Haley wants to get back to striking at distance but Aldo won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo managing to block the knees to the body from Haley.
Aldo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Haley is trying to keep an underhook but Aldo manages to get the takedown into half guard. Haley manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Aldo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Haley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Haley shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Aldo is trying to maintain the position but Haley is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Haley seems to be working for a kimura but Aldo defends the submission attempt. Haley prevents Aldo from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clair Haley dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Haley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aldo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Aldo is looking to reverse the position. Haley passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Aldo! Aldo is squirming around, avoiding Haley's attempts to control the action. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haley breaks from Aldo's wrist control and lands an elbow. Aldo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Haley controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Haley working away from the top, dropping strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haley lands a couple of good shots and Aldo has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Aldo defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Haley's arms. Haley keeps control of the position easily here as Aldo tries to buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aldo tries to roll but Haley sticks to his back.
Aldo is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Aldo is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Aldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haley patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Haley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aldo can do to turn this around? Aldo is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Haley sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Aldo has no choice but to tap and Haley jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Clair Haley!
