The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasqueza has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pasqueza landing knees to the body.
Pasqueza breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

mcgrady darts in trying to clinch
and Pasqueza moves into the clinch.

Pasqueza tries to advance to mount but can't.

mcgrady is desperately trying to improve his position but Pasqueza has a good base and remains in mount.
Pasqueza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with mcgrady. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
mcgrady bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Pasqueza looking to hit a scissor sweep but mcgrady is one step ahead there.

and Pasqueza counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pasqueza.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Pasqueza works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

and Pasqueza counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pasqueza.

Pasqueza circles away from the clinch attempt
and Pasqueza counters with a nice double leg into side control. mcgrady won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pasqueza is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt mcgrady will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Pasqueza's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
mcgrady tries to buck Pasqueza off but Pasqueza is having none of it.

Pasqueza shoots for a double leg takedown but mcgrady sprawls well. He's pushed Pasqueza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Pasqueza counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in mcgrady's guard now.
Pasqueza wants to control from the top but mcgrady keeps moving.
mcgrady has his feet on Pasqueza's thighs here. He's pushed Pasqueza off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pasqueza screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
