Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin has chosen Ratamahatta as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miyamoto Musashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Landon Austin!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi fails with a takedown attempt.
Musashi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Austin.
Musashi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Austin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Musashi seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Austin misses the jab.
Musashi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Austin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Musashi misses the target.
Musashi defending well as Austin loads up on a big left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A combination from Musashi does no damage.
Musashi shoots in looking for a takedown but Austin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Musashi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Musashi shoots in for a takedown but Austin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Musashi throws a lazy right hand but Austin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Musashi slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Austin clobbers Musashi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Musashi moves into the clinch successfully.

Musashi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Austin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Austin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Musashi is pulling down on Austin's head. It's preventing any offense from Austin, at least for the moment.
Musashi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Austin's guard.

Austin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Musashi throws a hook but Austin blocks it.

Austin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Musashi on the side of the head.

Austin lands with a hook. Musashi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Musashi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Musashi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Austin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Austin is looking to reverse the position.
Austin manages to get back to half guard.
Musashi is looking to take a break and control but Austin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Musashi is stalling here. Austin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Musashi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Austin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Austin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Musashi works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

My spies in RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu inform me that Austin has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Austin lands with an uppercut that bounces Musashi off the cage and back into range.

Landon Austin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Musashi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Musashi is rocked!
Musashi gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Austin gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Musashi is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Landon Austin!
