Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shane Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Hope! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward thuds a left hand into Hope's body. Hope tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ward swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ward with a nice cross. Hope slips under a jab from Ward. Hope tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Ward closes the distance and pushes Hope back into the cage. Hope can't find room to land a body shot as Ward controls the action.
Hope is trying to maintain a safe position but Ward gets an underhook and turns Hope into the cage. Ward looking for a takedown. Hope wants a takedown.
Hope changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ward fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hope defending well as Ward loads up on a big left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hope keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ward clinches up with Hope and pushes him back against the cage. Ward lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ward blocking some punches.

Hope is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ward lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hope backwards. Hope tries to break free but Ward pushes him back against the cage. Ward pushes Hope back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Hope blocks the elbow strike.

Hope is rocked! Ward lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hope backwards. Hope is still on wobbly legs! Can Ward finish him?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ward scores with a shoulder strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hope has had enough of the clinch but Ward keeps him there for the moment. We've been informed that Hope has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A short right hand to the side of the head by Ward. Ward presses Hope against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Ward lands with a light punch inside. Ward softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Ward working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Ward lands an uppercut. Ward throws a big uppercut that drops Hope! More strikes from Ward and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hope lies dazed against the cage as Ward celebrates with his cornermen!
