Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Julyfeather!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Julyfeather throws a combination. Williams tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Frank Williams has been cut.

Williams fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Julyfeather to the ground. Williams is now in Julyfeather's guard.
Julyfeather being controlled here, momentarily.
Julyfeather really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Julyfeather swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Williams throws a big elbow that misses.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A slapping leg kick lands for Williams.
Mark Julyfeather is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Williams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Julyfeather on his heels. He'll look to pass Julyfeather's guard now, I'm sure.
Williams prevents Julyfeather from getting back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Julyfeather can do anything to dispel that myth.
Williams showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Julyfeather is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Williams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Williams has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Julyfeather avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Julyfeather scores with a nice right hand.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up with Julyfeather, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes Julyfeather against the cage but Julyfeather circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oooooh!!! Julyfeather has knocked Williams down with a huge combo! Julyfeather steps away and waves a wobbly Williams back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Williams is rocked!
Julyfeather closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Williams! Julyfeather dives in looking to finish! Williams is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Julyfeather!
Mark Julyfeather spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
