The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Letang has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McGregor.
Letang slips under a jab.
McGregor misses with a kick to the body
and Letang counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McGregor misses with a double jab.

Letang has taken the fight to the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Letang fails to land.
Letang pressing his opponent against the cage.

McGregor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McGregor scores with a head kick.
Letang moves to clinch but McGregor breaks away
and McGregor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McGregor throws a head kick but Letang moves out of range.
McGregor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Letang moves into the clinch.
Letang tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McGregor's elbow.
Letang scores with a nice hook to the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

McGregor breaks from the clinch.

McGregor misses with a left hand

and Letang counters by clinching up.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, McGregor creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
McGregor scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Pierre Letang has been cut.
Letang cracks McGregor with a nice body shot.

McGregor breaks from the clinch.
McGregor scores with a jab. Letang acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Letang is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! McGregor has cracked Letang with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! McGregor lands another huge swinging hook and Letang tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Letang, before McGregor can land any more shots!
