The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Singh Negi slips under a jab. Singh Negi appears to be looking for a big counter. Singh Negi clinches up against the ropes. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Poe has a couple of punches blocked by Singh Negi.

Will he be able to recover?!! I was talking to Singh Negi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Cameron Poe seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Poe tries to work over Singh Negi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Poe lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
