Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Delvin Shore! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Captain Boromir! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shore slips a jab from Boromir. Boromir feints and then cracks Shore's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shore down. Shore with a poor takedown and Boromir counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Boromir throws a leg kick but Shore checks it. Boromir throws a combination that misses and Shore counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Captain Boromir has been cut. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Boromir. We've been informed that Boromir has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Boromir on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Delvin Shore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shore throws a right and a left that Boromir avoids nicely. Shore slips under a jab. Shore seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. A big right from Boromir misses. Shore throws a right and a left that both miss. Shore throws a nice looking combination but Boromir bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Boromir follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Shore throws a good cross that connects.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shore tries for a takedown but Boromir sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Horrible takedown attempt by Shore or perhaps it was just good defense by Boromir, which made it look bad. Boromir looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Delvin Shore. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Boromir counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Shore takes one on the button. Shore throws a lazy uppercut
and Boromir counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Delvin Shore has been cut. Boromir scores with a hook. Boromir stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boromir wants it to stay on the feet. Shore swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Boromir counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Boromir pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shore is out of range and Boromir settles back down. Boromir throws a looping overhand right but Shore ducks down to avoid it. Boromir scores with a nice strike. Shore keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boromir lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Boromir has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Shore fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boromir to the ground. Shore is now in Boromir's guard. Boromir manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boromir throws a hook but Shore blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shore avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Boromir takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Shore has been working on his balance at Irish Collar & Elbow Academy, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Boromir. Shore shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Boromir counters with a left to the body. Boromir stuffs the takedown. Boromir pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nice uppercut lands for Shore. That snapped Boromir's head back.
Boromir stuffs the takedown. Boromir misses with a hook. Shore ducked under it nicely. Boromir lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Boromir lands a left and a right that send Shore crashing to the mat, dazed. Boromir thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Boromir works Shore's body with a nice hook. Shore is breathing heavily. Boromir lands a jab to the head.
A lazy left from Shore finds it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shore fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Boromir! But no joy. Captain Boromir is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slow jab from Boromir misses its intended target. Boromir slips a jab from Shore. Boromir buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shore misses with a takedown and Boromir counters with a nice uppercut. Boromir with a body punch. A glancing blow. Boromir throws a looping overhand right but Shore ducks down to avoid it. Shore connects with a crisp jab. A decent looking body kick lands there for Boromir. Boromir ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Boromir bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shore's head. A shot to the liver by Boromir. Beautiful body shot. Shore takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boromir throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Boromir slips under a jab from Shore. Boromir throws a nice looking combination but Shore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Boromir uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shore. Boromir slips under a jab. And Boromir responds with a good body kick, but Shore manages to step out the way in time. Shore feints and as Boromir raises his hands in defense, Shore changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Shore stopping the sweep attempt from Boromir. Shore postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boromir is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shore, into his guard. Boromir engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boromir looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Captain Boromir dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Shore's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Shore counters with a stiff right hand. Shore shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boromir pinned against the cage. Boromir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Shore ducks under a wild hook from Boromir. Boromir scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Boromir on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Boromir moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shore. Captain Boromir seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boromir thows a left - swing and a miss! Shore fails to land the takedown. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Boromir! But no joy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Delvin Shore. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some bone on bone action there as Shore checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Shore half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Boromir slaps away a takedown attempt from Shore, before circling back to the center of the mat. Boromir has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boromir connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Boromir throws a low kick but Shore avoids it. Delvin Shore is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. An inside leg kick lands from Boromir. Shore shoots in for a takedown but Boromir shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shore takes one to the chin there. Shore shoots and misses and Boromir counters with a nice uppercut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boromir lands a nice hook to Shore's body. Shore takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Boromir throws the left hand but Shore avoids the punch easily. Oooooh!!! Boromir has knocked Shore down with a huge combo! Boromir steps away and waves a wobbly Shore back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Shore is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shore blocks a jab. Shore seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Boromir closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Shore out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Captain Boromir! Captain Boromir is the new super heavyweight champion! Captain Boromir bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
