Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jericho Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamuza Akimocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cane comes to the cage accompanied by Mustache: Double Nature. Jericho Cane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Yamuza Akimocha's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jericho Cane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yamuza Akimocha! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cane closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cane advances to full mount. Akimocha is looking to get to half guard. Cane working for a guillotine from mount but Akimocha is in no mood to give up. Cane thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Cane looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Cane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cane looking to finish Akimocha with some ground and pound. This is bad for Akimocha!
Akimocha is rocked! Akimocha defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cane. Akimocha is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Akimocha tries to hold on but Cane postures up. Akimocha is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Cane working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Akimocha slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
Cane looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Akimocha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cane is looking for a kimura here.
Akimocha keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cane is breathing heavily. Akimocha wants to improve his position but Cane is controlling well.
Cane passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Akimocha!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cane looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Akimocha is wriggling around trying to escape.
Akimocha wants to control but Cane is having none of it. Akimocha is working to get back to half guard.
Cane forces the positional change into back control. Akimocha preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Cane. Akimocha just trying to survive but Cane is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akimocha is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Cane has the hooks in. Akimocha is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Akimocha just trying to survive but Cane is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Cane thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Akimocha tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Akimocha is trying to escape the mount.
Cane has control of Akimocha's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Akimocha regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Akimocha wants to hold on but Cane pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cane jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Akimocha manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Akimocha gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cane counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cane. Cane is looking to work some ground and pound but Akimocha has wrist control. Cane throwing strikes from guard but Akimocha blocks nicely. Akimocha keeping full guard, as Cane tries to pass. Cane postures up.
Cane throws a big right hand that misses. Cane thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jericho Cane dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Akimocha wants to clinch and Cane counters with a shoot takedown. Akimocha fights it but they end up in guard. Cane in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cane preventing the sweep. Cane forces his way into half guard. Akimocha blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cane. Akimocha is in trouble now - Cane has advanced to mount! Akimocha is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cane is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Akimocha is surviving well by controlling Cane's body position as best he can. Jericho Cane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cane is working for a guillotine from mount but Akimocha frees his head quite easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akimocha is looking to get to half guard. Cane avoids the attempt from Akimocha to control. Akimocha is trying desperately to improve position. Cane looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Akimocha sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Cane is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Akimocha manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cane drops back, looking for a kneebar! Akimocha looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Akimocha looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Akimocha! Akimocha passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cane! Akimocha trying to control but he's not successful this time. Akimocha fails to move to back control. Cane is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akimocha tries to control but Cane wriggling away. Cane manages to regain half guard. Good work. Cane looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Akimocha is trying to control the action in half guard but Cane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Akimocha might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cane kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cane flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Akimocha prevents Cane from improving his position. Cane actively working from the bottom here. Akimocha wants to control but Cane is keeping him busy.

Akimocha throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cane fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Akimocha sprawls well initially but Cane persists and gets the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jericho Cane dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Akimocha tries to clinch but Cane is having none of it. Akimocha moves in looking to clinch but Cane pushes him off. Akimocha doesn't manage to clinch there - Cane circles away.
Akimocha with a poor takedown and Cane counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Akimocha taking some punishment here, with Cane in his half guard. Cane prevents Akimocha from improving his position. Cane lands with a punch from half guard. Cane moves nicely into side control. Akimocha looks to move to half guard but instead Cane has passed into mount! Damn! Cane landing shots from mount. Cane is going olschool here, as he tries to force Akimocha to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Akimocha shrugs it off. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akimocha stops Cane from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Cane with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Akimocha is trying desperately to improve position. Cane raining down shots from the mount! Cane looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Cane wants to take Akimocha's back here but Akimocha is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Cane working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Akimocha gets back to half guard. Akimocha wants to improve his position but Cane is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cane is looking for a kimura but Akimocha is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cane to get the leverage. Akimocha tries to get to full guard but Cane has control of the leg. Cane seems to be looking for submissions.
Akimocha is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Akimocha controls Cane momentarily but Cane frees himself. Cane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cane drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Akimocha dives on top into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akimocha forces his way into half guard. Jericho Cane is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cane is looking for a sweep. Akimocha is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Akimocha trying to control the action but Cane is working from the bottom. Cane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Cane working a defensive guard here.
Cane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Yamuza Akimocha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Akimocha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Jericho Cane showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
