Edwards kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Like a surgeon. Tanishk Soni is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards throws a body punch but Soni moves out of range.

We've been informed that Soni has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Soni throws a push kick but Edwards slaps the foot to one side.
Soni throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Soni drops down looking for an ankle pick but Edwards pulls his leg out and moves away.

Edwards has his foot on Soni's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Soni works his way back into a safe position though.

Edwards throws his legs up looking for a submission but Soni uses it to pass to side control.

Well, if Edwards is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Soni closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Edwards's guard.
Edwards is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Soni is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
