Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Miller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Enrique Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Miller!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Miller looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Miller is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Reilly tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control.
Miller is pressing down on Reilly's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reilly is holding on for now.
Miller keeps trying to improve his position.
Reilly missing with punches from the bottom.

Miller is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller trying to mount his opponent but Reilly defends it.
Reilly makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Reilly.

Reilly is controlling Miller's posture.
Miller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reilly is keeping the position for now.
Reilly is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reilly swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reilly seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Miller passes Reilly's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Miller wants to free his trapped foot but Reilly is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reilly wants to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miller looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Miller moves nicely into side control.

Miller tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Reilly stops Miller from passing to mount.

Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Miller advances nicely into full mount.

Miller working for a guillotine from mount but Reilly is in no mood to give up.
Reilly holds on to Miller as tight as he can, avoiding damage.

Miller looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Reilly tries to hold on but Miller postures up.
Reilly working to try and regain half guard.
Reilly is working hard here to advance position.

Reilly defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Miller.

Miller goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reilly is on top in guard.
Miller is adopting a defensive guard.

Reilly loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ivan Miller dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Miller clinches up with Reilly and pushes him back against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Miller is trying to pull guard but Reilly turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Miller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Reilly throws a big right hand that misses.
Miller pulls Reilly in close to prevent any damage.
Miller's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reilly working some strikes from top position.
Miller has his hands on Reilly's head, controlling the position.
Reilly throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
More stalling from Miller.
Reilly has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Miller with more of the same as he continues to hold on.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Reilly moves into the clinch.

Miller drags the fight down to the ground.
Miller has Reilly pulled in close to control his posture.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that Miller has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Miller has a closed guard, preventing Reilly from standing up.
Miller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Miller pulls Reilly in close to his closed guard and prevents Reilly from doing any damage or advancing position.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Miller.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Yet more stalling tactics from Miller.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Miller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reilly is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Miller.

Miller has managed to clinch.
Miller jumps guard but Reilly stands there with Miller around his waist. Miller gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Reilly lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Miller is controlling Reilly's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ivan Miller will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Miller misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Miller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A combination from Miller does no damage.

Miller rushes Reilly and presses him up against the cage.
Reilly is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Miller jumps guard but Reilly turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Miller is pushing down on Reilly's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reilly is fighting to maintain full guard but Miller has managed to sneak the leg through.
Reilly regains full guard. Nicely done.
Reilly is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Miller drops back looking for a leg! Reilly is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reilly manages to kick Miller off! Miller jumps back into Reilly's guard.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reilly swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miller passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Miller has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Miller wants to finish this one by submission but Reilly is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Miller.
Reilly tries to lock up and control but Miller gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Reilly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Miller is working for a guillotine from mount but Reilly frees his head quite easily.
Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Reilly can't escape the position.
Reilly tries to hold on but Miller postures up.

Miller is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Reilly is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ivan Miller!
