Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brochan Darrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Lincekum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lincekum is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BYOB. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Lincekum!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lincekum just misses with a punch to the body.
Lincekum's coach down at Westside Martial Arts was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lincekum's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A telegraphed right hand from Lincekum misses the target.
A head kick misses from Darrow.
It seemed like Lincekum was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lincekum lands a jab to Darrow's midsection.
Lincekum on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Darrow. Darrow obviously looking to wear him down.
Lincekum swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lincekum fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Darrow looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Darrow misses with a low kick.
Darrow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lincekum moves away.
Lincekum lands with a hook. Darrow tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tim Lincekum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Darrow uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lincekum.

Darrow walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lincekum checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Lincekum throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Darrow sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lincekum rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Darrow moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Darrow swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A quick step to the side and Darrow tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Darrow dodges the punch combination from Lincekum.

Darrow moves to clinch but Lincekum breaks away
and Lincekum counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Darrow shoots in for a takedown but Lincekum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lincekum blocks a head kick by Darrow.
Lincekum lands with a hook. Darrow tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Darrow tries to land a leg kick but Lincekum saw it coming and moves away.
Darrow throws a jab when Lincekum was well out of range.

Lincekum changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Darrow pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lincekum takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lincekum cracks Darrow with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lincekum loads up on a big right hand but Darrow slips the punch.
Darrow checks the leg kick.
A left and a right from Lincekum both land. Nice combination.
Darrow is rocked!
Lincekum lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Oh Darrow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Darrow swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lincekum counters with a right hand to the body.

Darrow walks straight into a right hand from Lincekum - that's dropped him! Lincekum jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Darrow from any more punishment! Darrow complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tim Lincekum!
