Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hal Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moses Puppicis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moses Puppicis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hal Burnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Moses Puppicis!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnett on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Puppicis throws a head kick but Burnett moves out of range.
Burnett avoids a punch combination nicely.
Puppicis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Burnett sprawls well. Burnett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Puppicis gets slowly back to his feet.
Puppicis lands the left hand.


It looks like Hal Burnett has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Puppicis fails with the takedown
and Burnett counters with a leg kick.

Puppicis forces Burnett back against the cage and clinches.
Puppicis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Burnett gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Burnett is trying to drag Puppicis to the mat but Puppicis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Burnett slips a nice elbow through Puppicis's hands, connecting with Puppicis's forehead.
Burnett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Puppicis keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Burnett is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Puppicis moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Puppicis thuds his right hand into Burnett's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Burnett walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Puppicis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burnett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Puppicis somewhat.
Burnett tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Puppicis manages to circle out of the way.

Burnett went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Burnett clinches with his opponent.

Burnett has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Puppicis uses from the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As Puppicis tries to get set, Burnett tries to push him back and clinch up but Puppicis manages to avoid the attempt.

Puppicis shoots for a double leg takedown but Burnett sprawls well. He's pushed Puppicis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hal Burnett.
