Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Howard Stern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arman Shaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stern comes to the cage accompanied by The Great American Nightmare. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Howard Stern! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arman Shaker! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking cross lands there for Stern. Shaker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Shaker is looking to take a break and control but Stern is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stern moves into full guard.
Stern seems keen to control Shaker's posture. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stern is on top in guard.
We've been hearing that Stern has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stern pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shaker is keeping the position for now. Shaker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stern gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaker keeping moving, preventing Stern from controlling successfully. Shaker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stern pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shaker is keeping the position for now. Shaker has control of Stern's left arm, preventing Stern from doing any damage. Stern trying to control but Shaker is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Shaker is controlling Stern's posture. Stern looking to pass the guard. Shaker trying to keep a closed guard but Stern is proving a slippery customer.

Stern shoots in looking for a takedown but Shaker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stern's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Stern scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Shaker is controlling Stern's position as best he can from this difficult position. Shaker is trying to maintain the position but Stern is very close to passing his half guard. Stern trying to mount his opponent but Shaker defends it. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Shaker throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Shaker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stern. Shaker wants to stand but Stern has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Stern is trying to keep Shaker in close.
Stern is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Shaker is looking to work some ground and pound but Stern has wrist control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stern bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shaker's guard. Shaker looking for a sweep. Not yet Shaker, not yet. Stern tries to free his leg and advance position but Shaker is retaining full guard. Stern trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stern stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shaker swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stern is working hard here to advance position. Shaker is controlling Stern's posture. That had to hurt Stern. Stern misses with a straight left. Stern comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Shaker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Shaker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stern's sensitive parts. Shaker throws a nice outside leg kick. Jab, jab by Stern - just one landing. Shaker tries a head kick but it misses.

Shaker thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Stern if he has to take too many more of those.
Stern walks into a straight right hand from Shaker. Stern avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A little feinted left hand from Stern on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Shaker throws a body punch but Stern moves out of range. Stern is looking to counter the offense by Shaker and move into the clinch. Shaker ducks under a wild hook from Stern. Shaker was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Stern moves in looking to clinch but Shaker pushes him off. Stern darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Stern uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shaker.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaker lands with a good body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stern looks to land a left hand but Shaker moved out of range nicely. Shaker looks to land a combination but Stern avoids it well. Shaker moves forwards but Stern connects with a nice, crisp jab. Arman Shaker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stern cracks Shaker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Shaker blocks the body kick.
Stern pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Shaker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Stern keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shaker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stern. Shaker feints and as Stern raises his hands in defense, Shaker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Shaker stands up over Stern, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Stern wants to sweep here but Shaker controlling him for the moment. Stern not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stern pulls Shaker in close to prevent any damage. Stern looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shaker is one step ahead there. Shaker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Shaker postures up and lands a big shot to Stern's brow. Stern is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Stern is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stern controls Shaker momentarily but Shaker frees himself.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shaker lands a right hook to the body.

Stern is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Shaker!
Stern lands the left hand. Shaker is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stern rather than just go for the knockout. Shaker throws a leg kick that is checked and Stern counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Stern misses with a looping right. The fighters circle momentarily. Shaker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Stern throws out a powerful jab. Stern lands a nice hook to Shaker's body. Shaker takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaker wants to land a leg kick but Stern is out of range. Stern shoots in for a takedown and gets it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stern wants to free his trapped foot but Shaker is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Stern is pressing down on Shaker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shaker is holding on for now. Shaker is looking to control Stern's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shaker avoid being mounted? Stern wants to take a breather but Shaker is having none of it. Stern wants to work for an arm triangle but Shaker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Stern prevents Shaker from improving his position. Shaker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stern's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stern's back! Stern tries to escape the position.

Stern is just content to waste time from the top position. Shaker takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Stern has gone for a leg lock! Shaker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Stern's guard. Shaker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stern keeping moving, preventing Shaker from controlling successfully. Stern trying to control the position.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Howard Stern will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Shaker lands with a slapping head kick. Stern closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shaker circles away. Shaker looks like he wants to counter punch here. Stern tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Stern punishes Shaker's body with a nice straight punch. Stern tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shaker was well out of range. Poor timing from Stern. Stern stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Stern jabs Shaker right on the nose. Shaker blinks but takes it well. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stern checks a leg kick. A jab from Shaker misses. Shaker gets off balance looking for a body kick and Stern counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Shaker looks to score with a jab to the body but Stern is just out of range. Shaker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Shaker has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Stern cracks Shaker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A momentary lapse in concentration from Stern enables Shaker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stern manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are working up against the cage. Stern manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Stern. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Stern lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shaker backwards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stern has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Shaker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Shaker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stern pulls him back up using the underhooks. Shaker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shaker pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Stern moves out of range of the body kick. Stern jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Stern lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shaker at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Howard Stern. I think Stern has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Howard Stern! Howard Stern retains his middleweight title! Howard Stern really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Humanoid Nutrition (160Q for 160$) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
