Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Saketh Reddy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Goerge Muhammad!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muhammad throws a leg kick that is checked
and Reddy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Muhammad fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Muhammad looks to clinch
and Muhammad takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A lazy left from Reddy finds it's target.
Muhammad is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Muhammad tries a head kick but it misses.
Reddy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Muhammad on the side of the head.
Muhammad doesn't manage to clinch there - Reddy circles away.
Muhammad misses with a takedown attempt
and Reddy counters with a right hand to the body.
Reddy lands a slapping body shot.
Muhammad takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Muhammad with a poor takedown
and Reddy counters with a series of strikes. Muhammad will be more careful next time no doubt.
Saketh Reddy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goerge Muhammad.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Muhammad shoots and misses
and Reddy counters with a nice body shot.
Muhammad looks winded!
Reddy scores with a hook to the body. Muhammad takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Muhammad throws a sloppy head kick and Reddy moves out of range easily.
Muhammad gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Muhammad on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Reddy tests Muhammad's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Reddy lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Muhammad can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Reddy and Muhammad drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Reddy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Saketh Reddy!
