Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tomb Raider! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spencer MacLeod! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raider changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. MacLeod looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Raider scores with a couple of short elbows. Raider lands a nice forearm strike. MacLeod tries to improve position but can't. Raider has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. MacLeod is trying to control Raider's posture but Raider avoids it. MacLeod takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Raider looks up at the clock and then as MacLeod takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Raider smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Raider lands a nice forearm strike. MacLeod tries to escape but Raider is in control. MacLeod takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Raider lands a decent elbow from side control. You can see the frustration on MacLeod's face as Raider controls the position. Raider wants to lay and pray for a moment but MacLeod keeps working. Raider working the ground and pound.

MacLeod really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Raider. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Raider landing strikes. Raider cracks MacLeod with a big elbow. Raider cracks MacLeod with a big right hand but MacLeod just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! MacLeod tries to buck Raider off but Raider is having none of it. MacLeod is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Raider is controlling him well. MacLeod is trying to control Raider's posture but Raider avoids it. Raider content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Nice defenses there by Raider. Raider tries to counter with a takedown but MacLeod is quick to defend against it. MacLeod throws a lazy uppercut
and Raider counters with a single leg into guard. MacLeod didn't expect that. MacLeod is looking to stand back up but Raider counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by MacLeod. Raider is thwarting MacLeod's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raider is taking a breather. MacLeod says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Raider takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Raider looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks MacLeod with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Raider lands with a punch from half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Raider lands strikes from half guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Tomb Raider dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Raider shoots in looking for a takedown. MacLeod tries to sprawl out of it but Raider keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. MacLeod manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. MacLeod is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. MacLeod leaves Raider with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Raider is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that MacLeod can do to turn this around? MacLeod missing with a left hand there. Raider was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Raider defending well as MacLeod loads up on a big left hand. MacLeod lands with an uppercut that bounces Raider off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Tomb Raider has been cut. Raider looks for a takedown but MacLeod sprawls well. Oh Raider is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomb Raider. That's going to take a lot out of him. Raider dives in for a single leg takedown but MacLeod sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Raider seems to have got his legs back now. Raider looking to score a takedown here. MacLeod is defending well but Raider drives through and ends up in MacLeod's guard. Raider is in close to MacLeod's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacLeod had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Raider defends it easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. MacLeod is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Raider postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Raider accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Raider scoring with punches to the head and body. Raider throws an elbow that misses. MacLeod uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Raider's guard. Nice move by MacLeod! Raider trying to strike off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MacLeod controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Raider misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. MacLeod misses with a straight left. Raider shoots in but no luck this time. MacLeod looks to throw the jab but Raider is out of range. MacLeod waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Raider.

Spencer MacLeod is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Raider slips under a jab from MacLeod. Raider displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as MacLeod throws out the jab. MacLeod missing with a left hand there. Raider was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. MacLeod looks to land a right hand but Raider moved out of range. Raider shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
