Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Julio Petersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rhys Wells!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wells pushes Petersen up against the cage in a clinch.

Wells has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Petersen uses from the top position.
Wells is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Petersen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Petersen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wells trying to keep a closed guard but Petersen is proving a slippery customer.
Wells wants to stand but Petersen is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petersen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Petersen wants to stand but Wells is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Petersen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Wells can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Petersen controls the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Petersen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Wells throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petersen was covering up waiting for the punch and Wells finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wells really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petersen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Petersen controls Wells momentarily but Wells frees himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wells wants to get up but he can't break Petersen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Petersen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wells is working Petersen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wells accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Petersen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wells is aware though and is defending well.

Petersen is looking for a triangle but Wells pushes his legs off easily.
Wells looking to sit in guard and control but Petersen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wells punching from the bottom - just letting Petersen know he's still in a fight.
Petersen won't allow Wells to get back to his feet.

Petersen drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Petersen as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Wells screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Petersen! Nice submission victory there!
