Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kano Kobayashii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kano Kobayashii will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kurt Angle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kano Kobayashii! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kobayashii throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Angle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Angle throws a big counter combination but Kobayashii scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Kobayashii tries a head kick but it misses.

Kobayashii throws a lazy head kick and Angle counters with a two punch combo. Angle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kobayashii tries to avoid it but Angle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kobayashii to the ground. Kobayashii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Angle shoots in for a takedown but Kobayashii shows good takedown defense. Angle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Angle successfully pulls guard.

Angle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Angle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kobayashii wants to stand but Angle has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Angle seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Angle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kobayashii manages to get himself to full guard.
Angle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kobayashii has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at English Top Team - THE Hybrid Gym (11 ELITE ). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Angle is pushing down on Kobayashii's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kobayashii is fighting to maintain full guard but Angle has managed to sneak the leg through. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Angle is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kobayashii doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Angle. Angle uses his free foot to push down on Kobayashii's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kobayashii.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angle is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Kano Kobayashii is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Angle looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Angle shoots in for a takedown but Kobayashii shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Angle shoots for a double leg takedown but Kobayashii sprawls well. He's pushed Angle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kobayashii stuffs the takedown. And Kobayashii tries to counter it with a takedown but Angle pushes his down on his head and steps out. Angle fails with a takedown attempt.

Kano Kobayashii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Angle dives in and grabs Kobayashii's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kobayashii pushes down on Angle's head and hops out. Angle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Angle tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kobayashii avoids it. Angle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Angle. Nice sprawl there from Kobayashii as Angle shoots in. Angle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kobayashii pinned against the cage. Kobayashii gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kobayashii scores with a slapping inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kano Kobayashii will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Angle darts in and clinches Kobayashii up against the cage. Kobayashii is trying to break the clinch but Angle is controlling him. Kobayashii wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Angle has him pressed against the cage. Kobayashii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kobayashii lands a high kick!
Angle dives in for a single leg takedown but Kobayashii sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kobayashii pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Angle lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Kobayashii can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Angle controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Angle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kobayashii works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Angle passes easily into side control. Nice work. Angle thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kobayashii avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Angle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Kobayashii's face as Angle controls the position. Angle moves into full mount! Angle thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Angle is standing up, even though he is in mount. Angle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Kano Kobayashii has been cut. Angle pushes Kobayashii up against the cage in a clinch. Angle tries for a takedown. No joy.
Angle lands a body shot. Angle decides to pull guard. Angle pulls Kobayashii in close to prevent any damage. Angle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kobayashii doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kobayashii manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Angle is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kurt Angle dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Kano Kobayashii's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Angle has Kobayashii pulled in close to control his posture. Kobayashii would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Angle is pulling down on Kobayashii's head to control his posture. Kurt Angle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Angle throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Angle is adopting a defensive guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Angle has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kobayashii is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Angle decides to pull guard. Angle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Angle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kobayashii defends well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Angle is on top in guard.
Angle stands and throws Kobayashii's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kobayashii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Angle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kobayashii, who protects the arm well. Angle stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fight moves into the clinch position. Angle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
