Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alan Conroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slugger Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alan Conroy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Slugger Joe! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Conroy cracks Joe with an open hand slap. Joe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Conroy counters with a straight right hand. Joe misses with a takedown attempt and Conroy counters with a left to the body. Joe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Conroy seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Alan Conroy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slugger Joe. Joe shoots and misses and Conroy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Conroy lands a glancing blow to the side of Joe's head. Joe tries for a takedown but Conroy circles away easily and Conroy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Conroy with a hook. Conroy lands a nice shot to the body.
Joe has his takedown stuffed and Conroy counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conroy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Joe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Conroy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Joe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Joe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Conroy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Joe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Joe has hold of Conroy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Conroy seems comfortable defending it but Joe has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Conroy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Conroy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Joe couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Slugger Joe!
