Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ramiz Hassan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Hardy! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Hardy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hassan is looking to clinch. Oooh a lovely combination from Hardy sends Hassan down but not out. Hardy dives into side control looking to finish.
Hassan is rocked!
It looks like Ramiz Hassan has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hassan pushes Hardy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hardy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Oh Hassan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hardy decides to stand back up. Hardy steps back and let's Hassan get back to his feet. Hassan seems to have got his legs back now. Some wild striking there from Hardy.
Hassan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hassan. Hardy misses with a double jab
and Hassan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hardy's guard. Hardy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hardy looks gassed! Hassan scoring with punches to the head and body. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hassan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hassan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hassan trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy working for a triangle but Hassan defends it easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hassan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hassan has hold of Hardy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hardy seems comfortable defending it but Hassan has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hardy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hardy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hassan couldn't care less - he's delighted!
