The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machida's waist but Machida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barbee off to one side.
Barbee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machida pinned against the cage. Machida gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barbee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doug Barbee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barbee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Machida sizes up Barbee with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Doug Barbee has been cut.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Machida knocks Barbee out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
