The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Lilke is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Lilke will probably get the nod.

Lilke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hansen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hansen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lilke's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lilke's back!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hansen is looking to control Lilke but Lilke is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Lilke is trying to get back to his feet but Hansen has full control of the position and if anything, Lilke has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Hansen is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Hansen is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lilke has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Lilke manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hansen's guard. Nice work there by Lilke.
Hansen wants to sweep here but Lilke controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Lilke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hansen's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hansen is on top in guard.
Lilke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lilke is trying to control the position but Hansen postures up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Lilke is looking to stand up but Hansen won't let him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hansen is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Hansen is looking to work some ground and pound but Lilke has wrist control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hansen tries a head kick but it misses.
Hansen shoots in looking for a takedown. Lilke tries to sprawl out of it but Hansen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lilke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hansen is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hansen is looking to control Lilke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hansen avoid being mounted?

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Lilke here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Lilke tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hansen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Mike Lilke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hansen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lilke is working away from the top position though.
Lilke thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hansen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lilke manages to get himself to full guard.

Bain Hansen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mike Lilke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hansen cracks Lilke with a solid left hand.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lilke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
