The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
laski tries to clinch up but Horton circles away and keeps his distance.
Horton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horton gets the takedown into side control.
laski parries the strikes from Horton easily there. Horton is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable laski to escape.
Horton has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Horrible takedown by Horton or perhaps it was just good defense by laski which made him look bad.
Horton stuffs the takedown attempt from laski. laski gets slowly back to his feet.
laski drives through with a takedown into guard.
laski won't allow Horton to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
laski wants to stand but Horton is controlling his posture from full guard.

Horton fails with the takedown
and laski counters by clinching up.

and laski counters with a nice double leg into guard.

laski is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Horton can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
