Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cortez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wake Me Up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunner Harris!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Harris clinches.
Cortez tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Cortez looking to stall.
Cortez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Harris blocks a body shot from Cortez.
Harris has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cortez is trying to keep an underhook but Harris manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Harris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Harris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cortez wants to improve his position but Harris is controlling well.

Harris tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rafael Cortez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunner Harris.

Harris with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cortez to score with a decent uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cortez throws a sloppy head kick and Harris moves out of range easily.
Harris on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Harris tries to close the distance and clinch but Cortez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rafael Cortez will probably get the nod.
