Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Sergeev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Sergeev told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Sergeev! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sergeev throws a right and a left that both miss. An attempted straight right counter from Cannon misses the target. Cannon has Sergeev up against the cage in a clinch.
Sergeev looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sergeev has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Sergeev wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cannon tries to pull guard but Sergeev forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Sergeev is looking to break free of the clinch but Cannon has double underhooks. Sergeev is trying to push Cannon away but Cannon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Cannon keeps control of Sergeev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sergeev is trying to break the clinch but Cannon is controlling him. Sergeev wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sergeev wants to break free but Cannon has control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cannon is trying to drag Sergeev to the mat but Sergeev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Cannon prevents Sergeev from breaking the clinch. Cannon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sergeev's efforts to push away. Sergeev on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Sergeev has had enough of the clinch but Cannon keeps him there for the moment. Cannon jumps guard and drags Sergeev to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Cannon has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sergeev is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cannon punching to the body, from the bottom. Sergeev throws a nice looking combination but Cannon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cannon has closed the distance and engaged Sergeev in a clinch.

and Cannon counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Cannon in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sergeev tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cannon!
