Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodger Holland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DJ Shaw will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodger Holland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DJ Shaw! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holland takes the fight into the clinch. Holland escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Holland closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Shaw gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Holland content to control rather than advance. Shaw tries to roll over but Holland keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holland missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw tries to get to full guard but Holland has control of the leg. Holland slows the pace down in half guard. Holland sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shaw defending well though. Shaw blocking the ground and pound attempt from Holland. Holland is looking for a kimura here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Holland prevents Shaw from improving his position. Holland sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shaw defending well though. Shaw wants to improve his position but Holland is controlling well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Holland has Shaw up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holland wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shaw has him pressed against the cage. Holland has hold of one of Shaw's legs. Shaw is fighting the takedown attempt but Holland gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Shaw working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Holland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Holland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Shaw looks winded! Holland stands up over Shaw, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Holland slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holland postures up in Shaw's guard and throws a big left but Shaw blocks it. Holland working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Holland won't allow Shaw to sweep him here. Holland decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shaw, up you get! Holland drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holland showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Holland is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodger Holland dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

And Shaw tries to counter it with a takedown but Holland pushes his down on his head and steps out. Holland shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shaw but Shaw pushes him off and we're back to square one. Shaw changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holland looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holland is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Holland wants to control but Shaw is keeping him busy. Holland decides to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Holland fails in his attempt to clinch. Shaw is breathing heavily. Holland fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shaw avoids it really well and circles away. Shaw is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Holland is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shaw can do to turn this around? Holland throws a head kick but Shaw moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw ducks under a wild hook from Holland. Shaw with the counter takedown but Holland avoids it easily. A jab from Holland misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Holland is defended easily by Shaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodger Holland. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holland manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Shaw on his heels. He'll look to pass Shaw's guard now, I'm sure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Holland passes into side control.
Shaw is working to avoid the ground and pound but Holland connects with a decent elbow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holland is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Shaw's shoulder. That is not cool. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodger Holland dominated that second round. That's time! Holland's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Holland throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shaw was covering up waiting for the punch and Holland finishes the takedown easily into guard. Holland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Holland postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Holland throws an elbow that misses. Shaw uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Holland's guard. Nice move by Shaw!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw wants to stand and escape but instead Holland has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Shaw wants to hit a switch here but Holland passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Shaw there! Shaw takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holland in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Holland landing strikes from the mount and Shaw is in trouble! Shaw takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Holland dominating with strikes here. Holland with good strikes from the mount here! Shaw is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Holland sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. DJ Shaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holland's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Holland putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Holland looking to control and managing it successfully. BOOM! Holland connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Shaw is rocked! Holland postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shaw looks a forlorn figure.
Shaw is still in real trouble! Can Holland finish him? Holland breaks from Shaw's wrist control and lands an elbow. Holland lands a couple of good shots and Shaw has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Holland scores with strikes from the back.
Holland lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Shaw hold on?!
Holland is landing big shots and Shaw is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!
