The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Cruz shoots for a takedown but Castle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Castle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

De La Cruz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Castle is trying to defend but De La Cruz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
De La Cruz prevents Castle from standing back up.

De La Cruz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Castle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Castle tries to get out of the position.

De La Cruz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

De La Cruz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
