The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Buckley is looking to take a break and control but Dodson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Buckley tries to score with some ground and pound. Dodson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Dodson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Buckley is controlling him well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dodson parries the strikes from Buckley easily there. Buckley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dodson to escape.
Dodson is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dodson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Buckley has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Buckley decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Danga de danga de dang - Buckley scores with a four punch combination!
Dodson is rocked!
Buckley shoots in and gets a takedown into Dodson's guard.
Dodson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Buckley manages to pass to side control.
Oh Dodson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Buckley is looking for a kimura but Dodson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Buckley to get the leverage.
Buckley looks winded!
Dodson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buckley is working away from the top position though.
Buckley is controlling the pace.
Buckley lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Dodson! More strikes land and this one is all over! Buckley jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
